CIRCULUS was in charge of the venue layout and wall decoration for the exhibition booth of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, a 3D printing materials manufacturer that is leading the 3D printing industry in Japan .
The materials used are made from recyclable synthetic resin, and a removable system has been created so that the pieces can be crushed and reused after the exhibition. We aimed to achieve beautiful design and high functionality while minimizing the burden on the environment.
The central piece in the exhibition is the renewable façade "KNIT," whose intricately shaped lines created by 3D printing create woven-like shadows, bringing a high-quality three-dimensional feel to the space.
At this exhibition, we also carried out an experimental project in which lighting was installed in KNIT.
Facing the busy corridor, we placed a resin-made openwork screen with a natural texture and soft atmosphere, creating an open yet moderately enclosed business meeting space.
